Event Details

Join Nexxtep Technology Services for our First Annual Technology Symposium!  We will hold two one-hour workshops which are eligible for 1 CPE credit each.  In the afternoon, we will open the Symposium to all professionals in the South Georgia and North Florida region.

Who Should Attend:

Any CPA from South Georgia who wants to earn CPE credit in a fun (and LOCAL) environment.  CPE credit is only available for the state of Georgia.

Refunds:

Requests for refunds must be received in writing by September 10, 2010.  No refunds will be granted after September 10, 2010.

Smartphones:  The CPA's Portable Office (1 CPE Credit)

We will discuss today's smartphone technologies, relevant applications and uses for CPAs, and considerations you and your firm should consider when choosing a smartphone.

We will discuss changes in the landscape of the accounting firm and explore your options as you consider using cloud services in your firm.

About the Instructors:

Stuart is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.  He began his career working in the accounting firm industry developing custom applications for various vendors including CCH, CSI and CPA Software.  Stuart later became Director of Development for a CRM software company where he developed extensive Lotus/Domino Server applications.

Ryan Williams’ professional experience has included stints with the Central Intelligence Agency, Dollar General’s corporate headquarters, a start-up software company and a global chemical manufacturer. Ryan is the CTO of Nexxtep Technology Services, Inc., and he has helped the company grow to become the largest technology consulting practice in South Georgia and 2007 Small Business of the Year.
